The contact resistance and temperature rise at the connection points at both ends of the bus duct and the junction of the distribution port are improved, and high-quality insulation materials are used in the bus duct to enhance its reliability and make the entire system more complete. After all bus voltages disappear, the dispatcher shall immediately turn on the switches that may be called (including bus coupler switches) and notify the operation team to conduct external inspection on the bus. When the voltage of the bus slot disappears due to a fault and obvious short circuit signs appear, the operation team personnel shall not resume the operation on their own and shall conduct a detailed inspection of the bus equipment.
The failure of the components connecting the bus duct to the bus or the failure of the parallel switch causes the bus to lose voltage, so a detailed inspection of the bus should be carried out. After isolating the faulty components in the busbar duct or opening the knife doors on both sides of the fault diversion switch, the busbar should quickly resume operation and be discharged from another parallel device. Bus ducts have good applications in some high-rise buildings and large factories, mainly used in power supply systems to simplify power system wiring. However, during the operation of the bus duct, it will be cold and hot at times. The insulation layer will remove moisture when it is hot and absorb moisture when it is cold, which will cause a decrease in insulation quality and the joints will also become loose and oxidized.
Bus ducts need to be maintained and inspected regularly. During maintenance and inspection of bus ducts, it is usually necessary to check whether all fasteners and conductive parts are loose in contact; Check whether the insulation material has deteriorated or aged, and whether the conductive parts have melted or deteriorated; Check if there are any foreign objects entering the bus duct or if there is water seepage. The metal enclosed shell of the bus duct can protect the bus from mechanical or animal damage. The installation of plug-in units in the distribution system is reliable, and the shell can be grounded as a whole, which is very reliable. However, the PVC shell of the cable is susceptible to mechanical and animal damage, and the power supply must be cut off before installing the cable.
If errors occur, it can be very dangerous, especially when cables need to be grounded on site, and unreliable grounding can increase the risk. The busbar adopts copper or aluminum bars, which have high current density, low resistance, low skin effect, and do not require derating. A small voltage drop also means low energy loss, in order to save users' investment. For cables, due to the fact that the cable core is made of multiple thin copper wires, its root area is larger than that of busbars of the same current level. Increased voltage drop makes it easy to generate heat. The energy loss of the circuit is high and it is prone to aging.
