The maintenance of trunking can be considered based on the actual situation on site.A set of grounding wires can be installed on the busbar trunking,or grounding wires can be installed on the working and backup power supply sides of the busbar trunking to prevent sudden power supply to the busbar trunking. This method is suitable for open busbars. As an important equipment in power transmission, bus ducts are mainly used in distribution systems of 660V and below.Bus ducts are mainly divided into several categories:air insulated bus ducts, dense bus ducts, and fire-resistant bus ducts.Among them, bus ducts that mainly rely on air for insulation and heat dissipation are called air insulated bus ducts, which are generally composed of rectangular bus conductors, steel shells, and insulation supports.
Temperature is a key factor affecting the operating life of bus ducts, which not only accelerates insulation aging and damages insulation, but also affects work performance and reliability. The temperature rise of the bus duct busbar body and bus duct connection should not exceed 60℃.If the load of the bus duct is asymmetric during actual operation, the neutral line will carry current, causing a change in the temperature field distribution of the bus duct. When a single-phase short circuit occurs, the temperature rise of the bus duct will increase compared to normal conditions. When a line short circuit occurs, the line will become asymmetric, and the voltage will increase to the line voltage, resulting in an increase in current and an increase in bus heat generation.
At the same time, the temperature occurrence point also changes, and the neutral line temperature increases. This is because when the load is asymmetric, current appears on the neutral line, generating heat. The flow rate also changes, with high temperature and fast flow rate between the busbar and neutral line. Therefore,in actual operation,it is necessary to prevent excessive current and continuous temperature rise, which may cause accidents.Bus ducts are usually designed for indoor use,so the humidity in the air does not affect the operation of bus ducts. However,in some high humidity environments, when bus ducts must be installed outdoors, waterproofing of the bus ducts must be considered.
In practical use,if water directly enters or long-term water and gas environment erosion occurs due to poor protective measures,it will inevitably cause insulation reduction.Long term operation will cause short circuits, burn bus ducts, and cause major safety faults in the entire electrical circuit. In this case, necessary protective measures must be taken during installation.Add waterproof eaves and rain covers to the outdoor part of the bus duct to prevent rainwater from entering. The waterproof cover material should be corrosion-resistant,and waterproof measures should be taken at the joints.
