The busbar trunking has gone through three generations from air type to composite insulation type.

The first generation of air type bus duct

Starting from the mid-1950s, conductive strips were supported by insulating gaskets in the casing and insulated through an air environment medium. The distance is 50 millimeters. In the humid climate of the south, due to the use of soft copper connections between busbar nodes, busbar nodes are prone to oxidation, resulting in poor contact between busbar nodes and busbars. And the volume between the joints is too large, the size of the horizontal bus segments is inconsistent, and the design is not aesthetically pleasing enough. The shell protection technology level is IP40~IP54.

The air type bus duct uses copper bars for conductivity and adds insulation spacer blocks to separate the copper bars. The conductive strip is supported by an insulating gasket inside the casing and sealed with some metal material casing. Insulated by air environment medium, with a phase to phase distance of 50mm. This bus duct is a primary basic technology in the development history of bus ducts in China. Due to the limitations of information technology, the busbars in the bus duct are exposed. When dust gets damp and enters the system bus, it covers and clumps up, causing different short circuits between some conductive phase lines and leading to accidents.

Second generation CCX, CMC, CFW

Composite material insulated busbar, in addition to the conductive strip itself, also has an insulation layer, and the relationship between phase lines also has a certain air environment dielectric insulation. In the later stage, a four-way cross-linked cured insulation layer will be used, with no gap between the insulation layer and the conductive layer.

Third generation CCX2 model

It was developed in the mid-1980s, covering conductive bars with insulating structural materials and then fixing them on both sides. A special type of bus that emerged during the evolution of the second generation of buses is the dense bus air socket. Due to changes in production processes, it can basically become a technology intensive busbar intensive socket, that is, an overall knowledge intensive busbar trunking.
