What are the key considerations for busbar design in busbar trunking

In the process of selecting bus ducts for various power transmission and distribution projects,it is necessary to be clear about the load of electricity used in the project and select the bus duct with the appropriate amperage by setting the load. The size of the cross-sectional area of the bus duct and the number of busbars determine the magnitude of the current level passing through

The conductive busbar of the bus duct is made by pressing copper solid rods.Copper bars can be made into various shapes such as flat steel, solid bars, solid or hollow tubes, braided wires, etc. These different shapes can allow for heat dissipation due to their high surface area to cross-sectional area ratio. This skin effect results in lower efficiency for automatic control busbars operating at 50-60 Hz compared to busbars that are 8 millimeters(0.31 inches)thick, making hollow or flat high current applications common.Hollow sections also have a relatively high stiffness ratio and equivalent current carrying capacity, allowing for solid poles with larger spans to be supported by busbars between outdoor activities.

Design characteristics of busbar trunking busbar:

1.The busbar must have sufficient rigidity to support its own weight. The vibration of the applied mechanical force may cause vibration, and the accumulated sediment may affect the exposed busbar. In addition, the changes in thermal expansion caused by temperature can also lead to changes in the temperature of the heating technology environment, and we must fully consider the high current caused by a magnetic field.

2.Busbars usually include switchgear, switch boards, and busbar trunking enclosures. They are also used in high-voltage system equipment and electrical connections in substations. The power supply circuit of the distribution board is divided into separate locations.Using protective covers for long busbars, rather than supplying them from their branches at an important location, allows for new circuit designs to branch along the route.

3.The busbar of the bus duct can support the insulation of the insulator, otherwise it may completely surround the insulator. The busbar is protected by accidental contact with the metal grounding shell or raising the normal working range of the busbar trunking. It is also possible that the insulation of the busbar cannot guarantee zero potential between the neutral point and the safety grounding.Busbars are usually exposed and directly connected to any type of metal casing, and can be enclosed in a hollow metal shell.
