The "CNOOC Platform Busway Project" is a model of win-win cooperation between CESKO and the owner.

Before cooperating with CESKO, CNOOC had already communicated with no less than 20 bus duct suppliers, and only the solutions provided by CESKO could be effectively implemented. Shortly after the completion of the project, CNOOC sent a thank-you letter to CESKO busbar trunking, expressing full recognition of the work of CESKO's gold medal maintenance team.

CESKO received the CNOOC platform busbar trunking project at the end of 2019, but due to the impact of the epidemic, the project construction did not begin until the end of March this year.

During this period, due to the epidemic, the CESKO team was unable to land on the offshore platform for on-site investigation. They could only remotely guide and measure the offshore workers through drawings online, and then design, produce, and customize bus duct products that matched them based on the on-site situation. The CESKO team only has one chance to log in to the platform for construction. If there are errors in the plan or product dimensions, all construction processes will be overturned and restarted, and customers will also suffer serious losses due to delayed completion. This is a huge challenge for "CESKO".

Be well prepared and face challenges head-on

On April 2nd, members of the CESKO gold medal maintenance team gathered in Shenzhen, passed relevant medical examinations and quarantine, and took a helicopter from CNOOC to arrive at the CNOOC oil drilling platform located about 180 nautical miles (about 330 kilometers) east of the Guangdong coastline in about an hour.

The CNOOC oil drilling platform was officially put into operation in November 1993, with a daily crude oil production of over 20000 barrels. It is a highly valued project of CNOOC, and if the project schedule is delayed, the daily losses will be incalculable. Members of the CESKO gold medal maintenance team must complete all the renovation work of the bus duct with high quality and efficiency in accordance with the construction specifications, especially in situations where the construction period is short and the on-site environment is complex.

Deep detection, safeguarding and protecting

For more than 20 years, the busbar trunking of drilling platforms has been severely rusted and corroded due to the impact of the special offshore environment, including the main body of the busbar trunking, transformers, and switchgear. The owner urgently needs to replace it with a new type of busbar trunking with high protection level.

During the on-site operation, members of the CESKO gold medal maintenance team first conducted a comprehensive and detailed inspection of the work area, and after further communication and confirmation with the project owner on the listed plan, they began to renovate the problematic area of the bus duct.

During the maintenance of the busbar trunking, members of the Gold Medal Maintenance Team of the trunking company closely cooperated and worked together with the owner's employees, coupled with professional and efficient trunking maintenance service testing. It took more than 30 days to replace and renovate all the old busbar trunking.
